Please be aware: by law, a customer is not permitted to turn on their system until PTO is granted by the utility. Please leave your system off at this time.

Once the utility has upgraded your meter, and granted you PTO you are permitted to turn on the system. We'll contact you to make sure your system is producing as it should and answer any questions you may have. You'll also receive an invoice for your final payment at this stage. If you're a loan customer, our finance specialist will be in touch.

During this process, several applications are needed to gain approval to install and operate your new solar system, including a building and electrical permit with your local county jurisdiction. This permitting process can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. During the permit process, you may not receive communication updates from us unless we need additional information from you*.

*Sometimes signatures are required in advance to streamline your project.

**Please note you may see a projected commissioning date on the interconnection documents. This is not an estimated install date, it is simply a standard date required by the utility (6 months from application submission).
